About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking a contractor for the installation of MPU5 Mesh Radio System antennas at the Joint Readiness Training Center, specifically requiring the mounting of 10 S-Band Integrated Sector Antennas across four permanent tower sites at Fort Johnson, Louisiana. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, management, and transportation to install antennas at approximately 250 feet above tower bases, with three antennas each at Site 34/Mill Creek and Site 15/Peason West, and two antennas each at Site 32/Cemetery and Site 1/Peason East. Key requirements include tower climbing capabilities, engineering structural analysis certification, and compliance with safety regulations, as the Joint Readiness Training Center lacks internal personnel for these specialized services. The government will evaluate proposals using a lowest-price, technically acceptable (LPTA) basis, with technical acceptability determined by the contractor's ability to meet Statement of Work requirements. Questions were due by June 6, 2025 at 10:00 PM PDT, and proposals must be submitted electronically by June 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM PDT.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 237130 (Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction) with a small business size standard of $45.0 million. No incumbent contractor is specifically identified in the solicitation documents. The contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price type with a performance period of 14 working days (2 weeks after award), requiring completion of all antenna installations within this timeframe. The government will provide the antennas (valued at $7,944.05 each), CAT 6 cable, and installation brackets, while the contractor must supply cable ties, surge arresters, and other securing equipment. All work will be performed at Fort Johnson, Louisiana, with the contractor required to provide a one-year warranty on workmanship and maintain daily site cleanup throughout the project duration.
