About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, seeks one factory-new duplex oil-free scroll air compressor system for laboratory use, with quotations due October 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. This procurement is a 100-percent small-business set-aside, restricting competition to firms meeting the size standard of 1,000 employees under NAICS 333912.

Place of performance is the Olin E. Teague Veterans' Medical Center, 1901 Veterans Memorial Dr, Temple, Texas 76504. The system must deliver a minimum of 12.3 SCFM at 116 PSI in a duplex configuration where one pump maintains required pressure and airflow while the second serves as backup. The system must include dual desiccant dryers with demand-based purge control, dew-point and carbon monoxide transducers, prefilters, after-filters, activated-carbon filters, pressure regulators, gauges, and relief valves. Electrical service is 30 amperes, 480 volts, three-phase, 60 hertz from an existing onsite motor-control center. The requirement is non-brand-specific; factory-new equipment from any manufacturer meeting all mandatory specifications is acceptable. Preferred delivery is eight weeks after receipt of order, with a maximum of 12 weeks. Contractors must provide a minimum of one onsite visit for startup, commissioning, operational verification, and training. If the quoter is not the original equipment manufacturer, evidence of authorization to furnish the equipment and manufacturer-supported startup, training, warranty, parts, and service must be provided. The Government will award to the responsible, eligible small-business concern submitting the lowest-priced technically acceptable quotation at a fair and reasonable price without exchanges. Quoters should submit their best technical and price quotations initially. PSC code is 4310, Compressors and Vacuum Pumps. Amendment 0001 was issued October 8, 2026, with technical clarifications and Government responses to vendor questions.

Award will be made to the responsible, eligible small-business concern submitting the lowest-priced technically acceptable quotation, provided the quoted price is determined fair and reasonable.
