About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center is preparing to procure Building Automation System support and maintenance services for the Charles George VA Medical Center, with an RFI response deadline of September 21, 2026, and intends to award on a sole-source basis to Ameresco Federal Solutions, Inc. under GSA MAS Contract 47QSHA21D000R.

The scope covers servicing and maintenance of existing Computrols and Tridium Niagara BAS infrastructure, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and technical support for HVAC, lighting, access control, and other facility operations. Work is performed at Charles George VA Medical Center. The RFI is market research only and does not constitute a binding solicitation; responses are not offers and entitle vendors to no payment for response costs.

The VA conducted technical analysis of RFI responses to inform its acquisition strategy. Based on that analysis, the agency determined it will pursue sole-source award to Ameresco Federal Solutions, Inc. Any subsequent formal solicitation will be competitive in nature, though the pre-determined sole-source intent signals limited pursuit opportunity for other vendors absent a change in acquisition strategy.

Interested vendors responding to the RFI must provide company name, address, point of contact, phone and fax numbers, email address, Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), and business size status under NAICS 541513 (Computer Facilities Management Services). Responses should be submitted to Joseph.Jeranek@va.gov and Kendra.Casebolt@va.gov. Vendors should clearly mark proprietary or competition-sensitive information in submissions.
