About this opportunity

The U.S. Coast Guard seeks complete renovations of the Aircrew Duty Berthing Room in Building D at USCG Sector San Diego, with proposals due September 18 and questions due September 15. The procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR Subpart 19.5, restricting competition to small businesses.

Place of performance is 2170 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego, California 92101. Work includes demolition and installation of new commercial-grade fixtures across four phases: lighting renovation with fully dimmable LED fixtures featuring selectable red-light mode in six sleeping rooms, one central hallway, and one bathroom; bathroom renovation including new commercial-grade toilet, sink/vanity with enclosed storage, shower pan, sheet vinyl flooring, and mirror; removal and replacement of approximately 590 square feet of carpet with Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring, baseboards, and trim; and interior painting of all walls and trim in six sleeping rooms and the common passageway. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, and supervision. An Asbestos and Lead Survey (AESS Job No. 26-092) detected no asbestos in Building D but identified lead at very low concentrations (below federal thresholds), requiring appropriate handling protocols during demolition. The NAICS code is 236118, Residential Remodelers; PSC is Z2JZ, Repair or Alteration of Miscellaneous Buildings. Evaluation emphasizes relevant past performance and price as more important factors.
