About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is seeking audio and visual services for the 2026 Charleston Air Show, scheduled for April 30 through May 3, 2026, at Joint Base Charleston. The contractor must provide a comprehensive sound system including line array speaker systems with minimum 1,000 watts of D-Class audio power, redundant VHF radios, multiple-channel mixing capabilities, microphones, CD/MP3 playback systems, separate air boss and narrator workstations, cockpit radio interconnect capability, minimum two LED screens (17x10), and a 10' x 10' elevated stage at 8 feet height with safety railings to support an expected audience of 30,000+ daily guests across approximately 1,812 feet of crowd line. The contractor must also provide all personnel, equipment, transportation, and technical support for setup, operation, and teardown. Award will be made to the lowest-priced offeror who receives a Substantial Performance Confidence Rating, with price as the primary evaluation factor and past performance (recency and relevancy within three years) as the secondary factor. The amended offer due date is March 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM, and offerors must acknowledge receipt of all amendments prior to this deadline.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS 532490 (size standard $40,000,000). The prior award for the 2024 Charleston Air Show was valued at $22,589, though the government has confirmed budget availability for this procurement without specifying an exact ceiling. The contract is structured as four firm fixed-price line items: sound equipment services (Line Item 0001), power supply services (Line Item 0002), and termination costs if the order is cancelled on or before March 22, 2026 (Line Item 0003) or April 1, 2026 (Line Item 0004). The contractor must arrive no later than April 30, 2026, and remain operational through 1700 on May 3, 2026, with equipment setup and successful performance testing completed by April 30. Performance will take place at Joint Base Charleston, North Charleston, South Carolina 29404, where the government will provide two non-smoking lodging rooms and one courtesy rental vehicle to support contractor personnel.
