About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for the 2026 Charleston Airshow Sound RFQ (FA441826Q0014). The document clarifies four key aspects of the solicitation regarding sound, video, and jumbotron system requirements.
The government clarified that sound, video, and jumbotron systems must be proposed together rather than independently. Regarding speaker system design, there is no strict requirement for line-array speakers; contractors must simply ensure adequate coverage of the show line and crowd audio while meeting all contract requirements and providing a premium sound product for guests. Alternative speaker system designs are acceptable provided they meet overall performance and coverage requirements. For scheduling, delivery and setup may commence as early as 0700 on April 29th, with removal starting at 1730 on May 3rd. Overnight access to the base is not permitted, and the latest allowable entry time is 1959 hours.
