SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8601-13-R-0062

Project 100033 is for the replacement of 3 Air Handling Units (AHUs) in facility 20643. This facility is a three story, 52,000 SF academic facility with three inefficient DX air conditioning systems that supply cooling, plus one unit in the mechanical room used, in part, as a teaching aid. The three DX units are inappropriate for a variable air volume (VAV) distribution system, continually malfunction, and do not provide a reliable, constant air temperature. The work that is required includes all labor, material, and equipment to replace three rooftop direct expansion (DX) air handling units and remove three rooftop condensing units. These units will be replaced with three rooftop air handling units, chilled and hot water loops, and chiller. Replacement and reconfiguration of the system will include all associated piping, controls, power, and the reconfiguration of the rooftop mechanical screen. Replacement of existing Direct Digital Controls will be required as well as the heat exchanger in the instructional air handler in the second floor.

The Air Force intends to award a contract with a 240 day period of performance.

The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
