About this file
This document is a comprehensive Project Manual for the Orange County Corrections Department's Switchgear Replacement project (Y24-738) located in Orange County, Florida. The project involves removing and replacing existing switchboards in Buildings D, E, and F, with a total estimated project cost of $725,000.00. Sealed electronic bids will be accepted through the ProcureNow OpenGov e-Procurement Platform until 4:00 pm EST on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Potential bidders are required to create a free account on the platform to submit their proposals. A critical question submission deadline is set for Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 4:00 pm EST, with all questions to be submitted through the platform's question and answer module.
The project specifications detail extensive technical requirements for the switchgear replacement, including electrical system components, installation procedures, testing, and documentation. The specifications cover everything from conductor types and installation methods to grounding requirements and coordination studies. Bidders must provide comprehensive documentation, including shop drawings, product data, and quality control reports. The project will require careful coordination with the existing facility, as work must be performed while the Corrections facility remains operational, with most work to be conducted between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am Monday through Friday. Contractors will need to provide background checks for personnel, maintain strict safety protocols, and ensure minimal disruption to the facility's operations during the switchgear replacement process.
