Questions from Vendors:

1. If delivery is done with a flat bed truck, do we unload the slabs, or does the vendor need to unload them.

Answer: We can, would prefer the vendor to unload

2. Can the slabs be stronger than 3000 psi, or do they have to be 3000 psi?

Answer: It can be higher, but no more than 4,000 psi

3. Do you have a schedule of when you would want deliveries for this year? Id school dates

Answer: It can be one shipment/ prefer two....initial (half) and balance in 6 months or upon notification

4. Do you want pricing per slab with delivery feel or a set amount per delivery?

Answer: We want all costs rolled into one, with delivery expenses included.

5. Would there be bi‐weekly, quarterly, or just random shipments?

Answer: It can be one shipment/ prefer two....initial (half) and balance in 6 months or upon notification

6. The vendor is stating that the slab would be about a 1/2 less, does this matter, or does it have to be exactly 6 inches thick?

Answer: 1/2" is less is ok

7. Does the hook have to be a steel cable or can it be made out of rebar?

Answer: Steel cable is required

8. Is there a specification for the spacing between the rebar members fro the concrete slabs?

Answer: Yes, a square of rebar 6” from the border is all that is required

9. The specification calls for 6” from the outer edges, but I am not sure if the 6” spacing applies to internal member spacing as well, is there a minimum size steel cable handle desired?

Answer: 3/8” cable is suitable (as long as the cable is rated stronger than the concrete pad weight)

The cable loop must be large enough for a fork of a fork truck to lift and use /move the block. Loop should anchor to concrete approximately 8” spacing in the center on a dege, 6” height of loop should be enough to allow the thickness of the fork to pass through the cable loop and pick up the slab.
