About this file

This document is a Question and Answer file from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) related to their Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Web Hosting Traffic Data and FHWA Data Preparation services. The single question and answer addresses vendor concerns about data migration of IDOT's existing traffic data and analytics system, which contains over 10 years of historical information.

IDOT clarifies that they will provide the historical data files for upload to the new system, and vendors have discretion to include data migration costs in their bid pricing. The agency notes that the total system cost will be a consideration in their evaluation, suggesting price competitiveness is important in the bid submission.
