About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Wage and Hour Division. The document establishes prevailing wage rates for service contract employees in Alaska (Wage Determination No. 2015-5687, Revision 27, effective December 3, 2025).

The wage determination applies to work performed in Alaska boroughs including Aleutian Island, Bethel, Bristol Bay, Dillingham, Kenai Peninsula, Kodiak Island, Nome, North Slope, Southeast Fairb, and Valdez-Cordova, Wade Hampton, and Yukon-Koyukuk. The document lists over 200 occupational classifications across multiple industries—including administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information and arts, information technology, instructional, laundry and dry-cleaning, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant and system operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical, and transportation operations. For each occupation code and title, corresponding hourly wage rates are specified, ranging from approximately $12.55 to $77.08 per hour depending on skill level and position. All occupations receive fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours per week, $222.00 per week, or $962.00 per month) or an alternative rate of $5.09 per hour under Executive Order 13706. Additional benefits include two weeks of paid vacation after one year of service, three weeks after five years, and four weeks after fifteen years; a minimum of twelve paid holidays annually; and specialized pay differentials for hazardous work (4-8 percent) and night/Sunday work for air traffic controllers and weather observers. The determination includes conformance procedures for unlisted occupational classifications not covered by the wage determination, requiring contractors to submit requests using Standard Form 1444 within thirty days of contract award for Department of Labor approval.
