About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division, effective August 20, 2026.

The document establishes prevailing wage rates for service contracts performed in the California Counties of Alameda and Contra Costa. It provides hourly rates for 319 occupational classifications across multiple categories including administrative support, accounting, customer service, data entry, document preparation, clerical roles, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information and arts, information technology, instructional occupations, laundry and dry-cleaning, machine tool operation, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant and system operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, and technical occupations. Rates range from $18.51 per hour (Taxi Driver, occupation 31310) to $93.25 per hour (Nursing Assistant II, occupation 12221). The determination requires all listed occupations to receive health and welfare benefits of $5.92 per hour up to 40 hours per week, or $236.80 per week, with an additional $5.42 per hour or $216.80 per week under Executive Order 13786. Employees receive two weeks paid vacation after one year, three weeks after five years, four weeks after fifteen years, and five weeks after twenty-five years, plus eleven paid holidays annually. Computer professionals meeting specified compensation requirements may be classified as exempt. Air traffic controllers and weather observers receive night pay and Sunday pay differentials. An 8 percent hazardous pay differential applies to positions involving explosives and ordnance work, while a 4 percent differential applies to positions with lower hazard exposure. Uniform costs are reimbursable as an employee expense when required by contract terms.
