Answer 8 Please see the instructions in Section C for Task Order 0001. Performance and Payment bonds are primarily dependent on the amount of funds obligated on the task order in accordance with Far Part 28.
Question 9 Section F.5 Schedule of Deliverables SF 1442, 52.228-1 and 52.228-15 currently requires all performance and payment bonds within 10 calendar days after Task Order award.
Answer 9 This is only applicable when bonds are required. Please see Answer 8.
Question 10 In the best interest of the Government, task orders are awarded to meet requirements but also at the convenience to secure expiring funds on work that may not be planned for a determined period of time due to environmental conditions, unavailable Government furnished equipment, delays due to Government changes, etc. Will consideration be given to the submission of bonds when awards are given but notice to proceed is not expected within a reasonable amount of time? Contractor bonding thresholds are coveted and secured for the Government’s highest priorities and immediate needs.
