Questions and Answers

1) The spec calls out a drop ceiling to accommodate the HVAC duct work. This can done without having a drop ceiling which is costly. Can you please clarify if a drop ceiling is required?

We do not believe that the drop ceiling is required as long as the facility can be cooled. Most trailers vent from under the trailer to distribute HVAC. Thus, the dropped ceiling is not a requirement.

2) Please provide pictures of the trailers.

3) The solicitation does not have any drawings for the buildings. Can you please provide drawings? Drawing attached.

4) Which wind zone do you want the building constructed to?

WIND LOADS PER UFC 3-301-01 TABLE F-1

ULTIMATE DESIGN WIND SPEED: 133 MPH

5) Do you require sealed plans to certify the wind zone and construction details?

NO.

6) Will a statement from the manufacturer certifying the wind zone be allowed?

YES.

7) The PTAC model spec’d is a cooling model only (no heat pump) with electric heat. Please confirm you want heat for these units in GTMO.

HEAT IS NOT REQUIRED. HOWEVER, THE CUSTOMER (JTF) MAY OVERRIDE THIS

DECISION.

NO. STANDARD PROGRAMMABLE (TEMP SET-POINT AND DAY/TIME SET-POINTS) THERMOSTAT IS ACCEPTABLE.
