About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for the CCAP-DDH federal contract opportunity dated July 28, 2026.
The document clarifies key requirements for the replacement of two 10-ton packaged air conditioning units. Regarding equipment specifications, copper tube/aluminum fin coils are acceptable for the units, and Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance is not applicable. For installation work, contractors are required to replace only transition ductwork connected to the equipment rather than all exposed ductwork, and electrical work is limited to replacing existing wires and conduits from the existing disconnect switch to the new unit. Both existing units may be replaced simultaneously rather than sequentially, and both 10-ton AC units must be worked on at the same time. The solicitation deadline was extended from the originally requested August 7, 2026 to August 5, 2026, providing contractors additional time to obtain manufacturer pricing and prepare bid requirements.
