SITE VISIT
All information needed and requirements concerning gaining a one-day pass to Fort Detrick for the site visit are located at this link:
http://www.detrick.army.mil/services/visitors.cfm
Please be sure to arrive at the visitor’s center early enough to allow time for processing (it can get very busy), so that you can be on time for the site visit. The Visitor Control Center
(VCC) is located at 9000 Veterans Drive, just inside of the Nallin Farm Gate off of
Opossumtown Pike in Frederick. Once you receive your pass – you will then proceed to 1520
Freedman Drive, Fort Detrick, MD. The site visit will start promptly at 1000 (10:00 a.m. EST) on Monday, August 27th.
Directions from the Visitor’s Center to the Site Visit:
o From the visitor center parking lot, take a right onto Amber Meadow Drive
(you will pass through a gate – show your ID and pass).
o Continue to the traffic circle, take the third exit onto Campus Drive.
o Continue on Campus Drive (it will curve to the left). AT THE THREE WAY STOP
SIGN, TAKE A LEFT WHICH CONTINUES AS CAMPUS DRIVE.
o Take a right on Porter Street o TAKE A LEFT ONTO FREEDMAN DRIVE o BUILDING 1520 WILL BE ON YOUR RIGHT (two story brick building) o We will meet inside in the Auditorium foyer of BLDG 1520
Parking will be limited at the site visit, so you are encouraged to carpool when possible (i.e.
limit the amount of vehicles).
There will not be a second site visit, so be sure you have all personnel necessary to submit your proposal (as stated in the draft RFP, you must attend the site visit in order to be deemed responsive).
Please email Sharon Lightfoot (sharon.c.lightfoot.civ@mail.mil) by noon (EST) on Friday, 24
August 2018 if you plan to attend the site visit and the number of people (no names needed).
