QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 2
W91QF019Q0006
Questions 1: Can you please share with me the contracting process if my hotel should be awarded the business? Additionally, will the group consider rates that are above the government per diem each year?
Answers 1: The process is for the contract to be awarded to the hotel that provides the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable quote. The contract will be awarded Subject to Availability of Funds and when funds are available, a modification will be provided adding the funds for the base year. Prior to the start of each option year, a funded modification will be provided exercising the option year if the Government decides to exercise the option. A notice of intent to exercise the option is usually sent to the incumbent about 60 days or more prior to exercising the option.
The Government is required to adhere to the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), therefore, the Government will not pay above per diem.
