CJAG Demo Questions and Answers as submitted via RFI

Are on site fire hydrants available for use to either connect directly to or connect to fill water trucks? We will need water on site or fugitive dust control. Requesting use of hydrants for this purpose.

Per Section 3.1.8 “The contractor shall bring water in for use on the Project (from a Municipal source)”. The Contractor cannot use any hydrants on the base.

3.1.4: Salvage items-locations for delivery and items for retention to be determined and disseminated prior to the bid?

OHARNG does not anticipate any items for retention on these buildings.

3.1.5: Asbestos: Can we be provided a detailed copy of all the surveys RE where ACM samples were conducted and quantity of results?

See demo analysis-and surveys provided in addendum 3.1.6: Is water to be assumed contaminated, to provide accurate cost of disposal?

See survey analysis for SD-03.

3.1.8, 3.1.9, and 3.1.11 - all give conflicting responses regarding the removal and crushing of clean concrete. Is an on-site location for crushing available? Can clean block/concrete be repurposed as fill at a size of 3"?

Contractor to assume all concrete is to be removed from site. No block/concrete can be repurposed as fill and must be removed from the site.

1.2.1 and 3.1.11- conflicting accounts of removal of pavement, concrete pads, and appurtenances. 1.2.1 states 10' radius, 3.1.11 states in entirety?

Removal of pavement, concrete pads and appurtenances are to be a part of and congruent with the building area itself and not a permanent feature like an existing Roadway. 10' is a minimum expected for a contractor work area around the building.

3.1.10- can utilities be cut and capped at main and at structure, then left in place? If no, can drawings/plans displaying utilities be provided?

Utilities to be removed with the 10' minimum of the structures. However, any power if installed shall be removed to the closest disconnection point (i.e. Transformer-disconnect) available.

Can the government provide a cost estimate for this project?

No cost estimate will be available until opening of the Bids.
