Will the Advantor work be contracted separately?

No. The Advantor work will be part of the Bid. Contractors to provide all IDS and ACS equipment, conduit, boxes wiring, etc… for a complete and usable system at completion of the work. Cameras and monitors may be by Advantor or another manufacturers. The Camera and the monitors is to be used and view only at bldg 158.

Section 01000 Item 36 Proposed Key Personnel notes – “An individual Key Team Member may not hold more than one key role”. Please confirm that we are to have onsite fulltime a Site Superintendent, Quality Control Manager and a Safety Manager. This is also noted in Section 014400 that there is to be an onsite QC and Site Superintendent.

Site superintendent shall be on site at all times work is being performed.
The QC and/or site safety managers should be on site as needed to provide sufficient supervision of the contractor’s quality control and safety plans, and, to ensure an accident free project with no construction deficiencies.

1. Detail 2 on EY501 shows new fiber cable being ran to Bldg. 120.
General note B on same sheet states that cable, connections, and devices are by others. Advantor excluded this fiber run in their proposal. Also, no pathways to Bldg. 120 are shown on the drawings. Is the government providing this fiber run to Bldg. 120?

Pathway from Building 158 to Building 120 for TDS exists. This was shown for context. IDS signal shall be transmitted to bldg 120 over existing and/or new communications wiring between bldg 158 to bldg 114 then to bldg 120. There is no new communications wiring from bldg 158 to 120.
All cabling & equipment for intrusion detection and access control systems shall be provided by the contractor inside building 158.

Details and general notes on ET101 and ET102 state that communications cable and connectivity to equipment and work area outlets is by others; however, on the bid form there is a separate line item for communications cabling. Is the contractor to provide and install communications cabling? If so, please provide a spec on the backbone cable for the 24-strand SM and the 100pr PE89 cable. Base CE Response
Contractor to provide and install communications/data cabling. SM cable 24-strand OS2 loose tube Indoor Outdoor for fiber. 100-pair, 24 AWG, foam skin insulated, shielded coated aluminum for PE89. Intent: Contractor to provide all inside plant equipment and wiring from inside the communications room 115 to data/comm outlets shown on the plans. The contractor will provide new 100 pr copper from bldg 158 to MH 2 and splice to existing cables inside the manhole. The contractor will provide new 24 strand SM fiber between bldg 114, room 182 to the new equipment in room 115 of building 158. Make all required terminations & connections.

We need a change made to the east wall of room 102 (man trap). This wall is called out to be wall type C1. Type C1 has only 1 layer of drywall on each side of the studs. To meet ICS-705, the corridor side of the wall needs to have two layers per Figure 1, Wall A on page 17 of the 705 spec, or make it wall type B1.

Exterior door - 110A. David got back with us and the door needs to be changed from 8’-0" x 7’-10” high to 8’-0” by 8’-0” high. If CMU/brick coursing needs the opening to be a little larger than size it accordingly. As these are sound doors the stops & seals are likely a little larger than the typical ½” on the frames.

d. Need a spec or a note for requirements for the camera and monitor.

a. General note B states "connections and devices by others." This is not correct. Equipment and devices are by Advantor. The contractor shall provide a complete and usable system as part of their work to include any required testing.
b. Detail 2: Remove the "knox box" requirements from the security sheet.
Show the knox box connected to the fire alarm system.
c. Detail 2: The ICS/ACS riser is incorrect. There are no ACS devices or panels shown (i.e. release to exit, card readers, electric strikes). All ACS devices will connect to the Advantor ACS panels, then connect to the building(158) communications wiring & equipment and then transmit ACS signals & alarms to bldg 118 (FEP Office). All IDS devices will connect to the Advantor IDS panels, then connect to the building(158) communications wiring & equipment and then transmit IDS signals & alarms to bldg 120 (BDOC)

Pathway for signals will be expanded to reflect path from Building 158 to Building 118 for ACS and Building 158 to Building 120 for IDS.
