Questions & Answers Q: What is the correct number of particles per sq meter for ISO 5.
A: >100,000 particles (0.1um) per sq meter. It is noted that this was an error in the original solicitation that has been corrected in amendment P00001 which is included with this posting.
Q: What is the minimum/maximum temperature and humidity standards?
A: The clean room should control temperature and humidity to achieve working conditions that maintain 68 F +- 2 F and 50% +- 10% relative humidity. It is noted that this additional detail has been added to the solicitation in amendment P00001 which is included with this posting.
Q: Will the clean room require exhausted air?
A: The clean room will require make up air. It is up to the vendor to determine this requirement based on the suggested hoods that will be installed into the clean room.
The intake and output of the HVAC must be stated by the vendor. In HVAC Configuration A, the same air gets recirculated and conditioned. In HVAC Configuration B, conditioned air gets exhausted from the room
Q: Are Sprinklers needed?
A: No Sprinkler System tie-in is required
Q: Do you have a list of preferred local General Contractors who have worked at the facility?
A: No. It is noted that this facility is owned by the University of Illinois and the Army Corps of Engineers leases the facility from them.
Q: Are there additional site drawings, showing overhead clearance, access to utilities, etc.?
A: No
Q: Will the front door entrance require a lock?
A: Yes. It is noted that this additional detail has been added to the solicitation in amendment P00001 which is included with this posting.
Q: What is meant by fireproof walls?
A: It is noted that the word “fireproof” has been removed from the requirements for walls in solicitation in amendment P00001 which is included with this posting.
Q: How will building permits be handled?
A: The requirement is for a unit that is completely modular, so the intention was that there would be no permanent construction. If the vendor’s proposed design will require any permitting this should be noted in the offer along with any other associated assumptions.
