About this file

This document provides an amendment to the solicitation for the Grand Isle and Vicinity Project Post-Ida Clay Core/Geotube Repairs. The amendment responds to prior questions by interested vendors and clarifies that excess excavated material from the existing dune may be used to fill the dune template in areas outside of the clay core construction area. Additionally, the amendment states that there will not be an equitable adjustment to the contractor if pre-construction surveys find existing conditions below required grades, as the contractor will be required to build the dune and beach sand template to specifications. The single award firm fixed price construction contract valued between $25-100 million is for repairing the Grand Isle dune through excavation and fill, clay core and geotube placement, and sand cover atop the entire dune alignment. Incidental work includes dune planting, sand fencing, timber crossings and ACB crossings. Questions are due by June 6, 2023 with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District New Orleans as the issuing agency.
