1.18 PROGRESS MEETINGS

A progress meeting will be held weekly. The meetings will occur on-site, in the Contractor's field trailerat the USACE field office, as conditions allow. The day for conducting meetings will be mutually agreed to between the Contractor, the Government and the Local Sponsors (MWRD) within 10 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The review and approval process will allow for mutual acceptance of the draft minutes as written, or editing to add, delete, and/or correct items that were covered in the weekly meeting. The edited draft meeting minutes will be published and handed out by the Contractor at each following week's progress meeting. If all attendees agree the minutes have been properly edited; then those minutes become the official final minutes of the previous week's progress meeting. Questions submitted to McCook GWMW Solicitation on 9 July 2014:

* Dwg C-502 detailing the well collar was not in the submitted set, would you please issue same at your earliest convenience.

Sheet C-502, and reference sheets Z-002 and Z-003 were inadvertently not included in the original solicitation set. These are included as attachments to this amendment.

* Who is responsible for staking the location of underground tunnels, pipes and other obstructions not commonly identified by JULIE and which may conflict with the new wells?

The Contractor will be responsible for locating all surface and subsurface utilities whether publically or privately owned. Refer to specification SECTION 33 24 13 GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS, paragraph 1.2.1.l, requires the contractor to propose the "Procedure for locating and protecting all aboveground and underground utilities", and paragraph 3.1 requires the Contractor to "obtain written approval from the local utility companies to drill at each site". Also refer to the General Notes on Sheet G-002 for the Contractor’s responsibility for locating such utilities. All known public and private utility owners are provided in the notes for coordination and locating, however there is the potential for other utilities in the area. Underground tunnels as shown on the plan sheets are the as-built locations.

* Can the kick off and weekly meetings be held at the USACE building?

Yes. Paragraph 1.18 of Spec Section 01 10 00 was amended to reflect that progress meetings will be held in the USACE field office.
