Q & A 2 W912P520Q0046 Gearbox Inspections at Guntersville and Pickwick Locks Questions and Answers Amendment 0002

11. On page 11 (see below), in the specs for W912P520Q0046, the Main Lock does not show high speed and low speed gearboxes for the Chamber Fill and Empty; only total qty 4 gearboxes. Are there high speed and low speed gearboxes here and if so, what is the oil volume for the high speeds? Also, are there 4 High speed and 4 low speed like the Auxiliary Lock?

ANSWER: The main lock filling and emptying valves only have 1 gearbox each. There is 4 high speed and 4 low speed gearboxes at the auxiliary lock

12. Also, there appears to be a discrepancy between pages 4-5 and page 11 for quantity of gearboxes. Can you confirm the actual number of gearboxes? Page 4 shows one high speed and one low speed gearbox for the Chamber Tow Haulage but Page 11 only shows one low speed gearbox.

ANSWER: There is a low speed gearbox and a high speed gearbox on the chamber tow haulage unit.
