About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunities related to Iowa Medical Exams (W912LP-26-Q-4003, 4005, 4007) issued by the Department of the Army.

The document clarifies key requirements for occupational health medical examination services at three Iowa locations: Waterloo, Des Moines & Boone, and Davenport. Lab draws are limited to components specified in section 5.7.2.1 of the Performance Work Statement, with an estimated quantity of 23 labs per contract, drawn only as directed by the Occupational Health Manager using standard equipment for applicable testing. A fixed facility is mandatory for service delivery, with a fixed clinic or hospital required to support follow-up appointments; on-site services completing all examinations within a 1-3 day period are not acceptable. Mid-level providers with occupational health knowledge are authorized to perform all examinations, including dermatologic exams, contrary to initial language in the Boone/Des Moines PWS that specified physician-only performance. The document identifies three incumbent contractors with previous contract numbers: W912LP25PA030 (Waterloo), W912LP25PA012 (Davenport), and W912LP25PA025 (Des Moines & Boone).
