About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (Attachment 5) for solicitation W912L225Q0002 for linen laundry services at WAATS, dated January 24, 2025. The document clarifies that all linen items are government-owned and will be provided by the government, with services to be charged per item rather than by weight. The contractor's responsibilities include pickup, delivery, and count verification with the COR, but no shelf stocking is required.
Key specifications include: monthly payment schedule through WAWF, double-sized bedspreads (covers only), all items are white in color, and quantities vary weekly based on student volume. A detailed monthly count chart is provided showing historical quantities for different items (pillowcases, bed pads, flat sheets, duvet/bedspread, blankets, bath towels, hand towels, wash towels, and bat mats). The chart shows typical monthly volumes ranging from approximately 50-400 items per category, with some seasonal variation.

Solicitation Number: W912L225Q0002
Date: 1/24/2025
Question 1: Are the items government owned or rental from the contractor?
Answer 1: government owned
Question 2: What are the total quantities of each item per week?
Answer 2: Items can very by week depending on the volume of students we have that week.
Question 3: 1. Item Sizes and Weights: Could you confirm the specific sizes and weights of the items
(e.g., twin vs. king sheets, bed pads, bedspreads, bath towels)? The vendor mentioned that sizes can vary significantly, which impacts their estimates.
Answer 3: we want to be charged by item not weight.
Question 4: How are the payments scheduled for this job?
We are already setup in WAWF but is it paid out monthly? Weekly? Quarterly?
Answer 4: Monthly
Question 5: I'm a little confused, so if this job started in Feb then we would be looking at the 259 pillow cases that month, 20 bed pads and so on, right? If its weekly, would that be
259 pillowcases every week for the month of Feb totaling 1036? Or 259 pillowcases divided by the 4 weeks so about 64 a week?
Answer 5: We would have to count all linen before you picked up, so that way it’s a correct count.
Question 6: Are you able to give us an estimated weight or number of items per week for our quote?
Answer 6: Yes, items per week.
Question 7: Does the contractor need to provide the linen rentals? Or is this provided by the government?
Answer 7: Government will provide linen.

Answer 9: Cover
Question 10: Are we putting anything away on shelfs or just picking up and dropping off and verifying counts?
Answer 10: Just picking up and dropping off and verifying counts?
Question 11: Are you expecting a price per piece or a proposal based on weight?
Answer 11: Price per piece
Question 12: In addition to requesting the sizes and weights for all items (excluding towels), are there any items that contain color? Also, will the quantities ever exceed the totals listed for October (shown below)?
• Weights
• Color
• Max
Answer 12:
• Weights unknow because we want to pay per item that is being laundered
• Color white
• Max quantities depend upon the volume of students that we have for that week
