Carpet Color and Pattern
A multi-colored carpet. A random multi colored pattern. Avoid
Patterns with definite lines or a design that repeats in a distinctively linear pattern (vertical or horizontal).
Use broadloom carpet tile that contains a pattern or bold, multicolored tweed. Tone on tone coloration does not meet criteria as a multi-colored carpet. The pattern acts as a camouflage to mask spots and spills until they can be cleaned. A random multicolored pattern performs better than geometric patterns or tweed. The pattern must cover a majority of the carpet surface. Avoid patterns with definite lines or a design that repeats in a distinctively linear pattern (vertical or horizontal) in corridors, small rooms, or areas with angled walls. A bold tweed must contain a minimum of three distinctly different colors, e.g. gray, blue, and burgundy.
Carpet Borders: A solid border may be used for office and conference rooms of squadron commanders and above.
Color is to be chosen from one of the three Accent colors listed in SANGB Vision 2020:
Burgundy SW6300 Dark Green – Shamrock SW6454 Dark Blue – Loyal Blue SW6510

Refer to #3
5. Has the existing vinyl tile been tested for ACM? A. The hangar floor was renovated in 2003, and no testing is required by base environmental as the tile at the time was non asbestos. Further consultation with base environmental has indicated that asbestos is not present.
