About this file

This document contains Questions and Answers (Q&As) dated 5.1.25 for a federal contract opportunity to provide shower trailers for the Alabama National Guard. The Q&As provide critical details about the shower trailer requirements, including confirmation that two trailers are needed, each with 8 stalls and 16 shower heads total. Key logistical details include: water connections are available via two water spigots per trailer located approximately 100 yards apart, contractors must provide their own generator, and the vendor is responsible for disposing of grey water waste off-base. The solicitation specifies 100 total personnel (PAX) will use the facilities, and responses must be submitted on a quote or SF1449 form. Potable water will be available on-site, and the Federal Support Command (FSC) will provide fuel for the generator.

Q&As Date: 5.1.25

1. What format should my response be in?

Responses should be submitted on a quote or SF1449.

2. For each location, is there approximately 200 soldiers per location? We'd like to get an estimate of the number of people at each of the field training locations. There will be a total of 100 PAX.

3. Is it possible to hook up a shower trailer to a standard water spigot? If so, how far from the shower trailers are the nearest water connections? Yes, it is possible to hook up the shower trailer to a standard water spigot. On this compound, there are two separate water spigots – about 100 yards from each other. Vendors can place the trailer directly next to a spigot.

4. If there isn't a nearby water connection, is there an access point where we can refill on the base? Alternatively, will we need to supply our own water? There are water 2 water spigots available for each shower trailer to connect.

5. What options are available for removing greywater waste? Is there a place on the base, or will we have to take the gray water waste off-base? The vendor will have to dispose of the grey water themselves. There is no location near the staging area to dispose of the grey water.

6. The SOR states 2 trailers with 8 stalls each, totaling 16 shower heads, but the 1449 states for

CLIN 0001 and 0002, eight stall (16 shower heads). Please confirm the total number of shower heads needed per trailer and the total number of trailers required. We need 2 trailers with 8 stalls each, totaling 16 shower heads. The SOR and SF1449 have been updated.

Q&As Date: 5.1.25

7. Does the contractor need to supply the generator and fuel? The contractor does need to provide a generator, but the FSC will provide the fuel. If the vendor needs a generator to operate the shower trailer, then they will need to provide one.

8. Is there a grey water dumping site on base available to the contractor? See Question 5.

9. Is there potable water available on site? Yes, there are water spigots available for each shower trailer to connect to.
