Vendor Submitted Questions and Answers:

Q - Can you Please confirm that you excavation quantity includes the extra 20" of excavation needed to replace the topsoil? It appears this was left out in calculating the quantities.

A - Confirmed that excavation quantities include the 20" to replace topsoil.

Q - Please confirm that all the Impervious fill needed to construct the Levee embankment is to be obtained from the Borrow ditch in the plans and that no outside source is needed.

A - Confirmed that no outside borrow source is needed.

Q - Please advise to where the contractor is to place excess material if the borrow channel produces more excavation then needed to build the Levee Embankment.

A - Excess material is to be placed in accordance with notes 15 and 16 on sheet G-003.

Q - Please advise to where the contractor is to obtain Imperious fill for the levee embankment if the borrow ditch doesn't produce enough to construct the levee. The amount can vary significantly with compaction requirements due the soils in the area creating either a need for more or excess material. if the typical on sheet CS301 is correct and the bid items are correct there seems to be a significant underrun of material needed to construct the levee embankment.

A - The fill available on the site will be sufficient to construct the embankment.

Q - Can you provide any more information as to what is all included in the Bid item for Monthly Internet service.

Will we only be paid for what the invoice amount is that we need to produce?

Q - Do you require the SSHO, QC Manager, and Superintend to be separate induvial? or can 1 individual be responsible for 2 of those roles? Can the Superintendent run equipment?

A - For the SSHO, see paragraph 1.6.1.1.1 of specification Section 01 35 26, Governmental Safety Requirements.

For the CQC Manager, see paragraph 1.3.2, CQC System Manager, in specification Section 01 45 04.00 13, Contractor Quality Control.
