About this file

This document contains an amendment to technical specifications for a federal construction contract and the related federal contract opportunity notice. The amendment provides details for removal and reinstallation of radial arm gates at a diversion dam, including requirements for plans to handle gate channel water, remove and transport gates, and reinstall gates. Contractors must submit safety plans and conduct work in accordance with Corps of Engineers safety standards. The federal contract opportunity is for repair of low flow radial arm gates at a diversion dam. The solicitation will provide for concrete repair and coating of hydraulic steel structures. A radial gate control panel will be fabricated and installed with a PLC control system. The project requires adherence to Corps of Engineers safety standards and development of accident prevention and fall protection plans. The solicitation is designated as a small business set-aside with an estimated value between $100,000 and $250,000 to be awarded as a firm-fixed-price construction contract.
