1. Are the rails being replaced on the freight elevator?
RESPONSE: Per specification section 14 24 13 Hydraulic Freight Elevator, subpart 1.1 Scope of Work: Car and counterweight guiderail and guiderail brackets shall be checked for structural adequacy and replaced with new assemblies if found to be structurally deficient. If reused, existing guiderail brackets shall be reattached with new anchor bolts as specified.
2. What is the load rating of the roof at the passenger elevator machine room entrance?
This information will be provided post award. Please refer to the Information located in appendix A
3. Has the increased pressure from the Increased capacity been accounted for?
RESPONSE: The contractor will design a new hydraulic system meeting the performance requirements of the elevator.
4. Are the Travel heights in the specs?
RESPONSE: The reference drawings show the existing elevator conditions, HOWEVER, the contractor should always verify dimensions and measurement data in reference drawings with measurements completed after contract award. The freight elevator elevation references are on page 5 of 66. The passenger elevator elevation references are on page 27 of 28. Drawings AF301 shows the freight elevator heights. AP301 shows passenger elevator elevations.
5. Are the freight and passenger elevators cab Interior dimensions in the spec?
RESPONSE: The freight elevator cab dimensions are provided in the reference drawings pdf page 31 of 66, FY22_P2-488170-P2-488173_CJDEL-REF1-FREIGHT+ELEVATOR+(1). Also, section 14 24 13 subpart 2.1.1 Elevator Design Parameters includes the cab dimensions.
The passenger elevator cab dimensions are not included in the reference drawings. Please refer to the Information located in appendix A

6. Is the sling being replaced?
RESPONSE: all hydraulic elevator components are to be replaced with new, unless otherwise noted in the drawings and specifications.
7. Is the freight piston size in the specification?
RESPONSE: The freight piston size is not included in the specifications. The reference drawings show the existing elevator conditions HOWEVER, the contractor should always verify the dimensions in reference drawings with measurements completed after contract award. The reference drawings showing the freight elevator profile view can be found on page 5 of 66.
8. How much larger are the Freight entrance ways supposed to be, if any?
RESPONSE: Please see F1/SF501 and A1/AF301 for the demolition scope of work. The hoistway door type and size can be found in specification section 14 24 13, Hydraulic Freight Elevators subpart 2.1.1 Elevator Design Parameters e.
