About this file
This modification to a federal solicitation provides additional dimensions for generator rotor poles to support bidder inquiries for a generator rewind contract opportunity with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District. The modification includes a photo and lists dimensions for the copper coil, pole lamination, and other features to aid contractor field verification. It notes the proposal submission deadline of February 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM local time remains unchanged and requires offerors to acknowledge the amendment number and date in their response.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Seattle District seeking rehabilitation of generator rewinds at the Chief Joseph Dam in Washington. The work includes disassembly and reassembly of 16 generators, removal and installation of new stator windings, optional replacement of stator cores, cleaning and testing of existing field windings and collector rings, replacement of generator piping and brakes, installation of new machine condition monitoring systems, and other refurbishment, inspection, and testing. In accordance with FAR, the magnitude of the project is estimated between $100-250 million.
