Item No 0006 – 1 JOB - Upgrade Software/Hardware

The contractor shall update the Windows operating platform and INTELLI-SITE OSSI operating system which is listed in the PWS.

FFP

Upgrade Software/Hardware

FOB: Destination

Should this line item (Item No 0006) include the yearly software maintenance cost for the (Open Options Access Control and Qugnify Ocularis CCTV software maintenance)?

This is a yearly cost that it may be beneficial to include in the service contract for automatic renewals. Should we include the yearly software maintenance costs of the security systems in this line item, or is this for labor only for the hardware and software?

The cost associated with CLIN 0006 is for the upgrade of the 1st floor base computer and operating system. The current system is operating on antiquated windows and

INTELLI-SITE OSSI software and needs to be updated with current operating software. The current CCTV software operates on a different system and is not connected to the MASC system or contract. Currently we are not asking for annual software maintenance and are asking only for the system upgrade, labor, software and hardware.

Could the Government provide some historical data on how many of the 9 biometric/proximity card readers, 65 door sensors, 10 proximity/pin card readers, 2 biometric enrollment readers, 31 circuit board panels, 2 central control registration stations, 1 Backup Slave Station, 1 Uninterrupted Power Supply

(UPS) and 20 Altronix power supply have had mainfulctions in the past 12 months. This historical data will allow the vendor to create a more accurate budget quote for the work required for the PM phase of the requirement.

There are more than 9 biometric/proximity card readers.

Refer to PWS paragraph 1.2 for the number of biometric/ proximity card readers. During the last 12 months there has been 6 recorded issues with the MASC system. Each of the issues effected different components of the system but all were resolved within reasonable time frames.

Normally we see hardware on doors failing more often, due to use, than software issues. Software issues have happened in the last year and due to the system not being network a contractor was called to conduct emergency repairs.
