About this file
This is a Question and Answer (Q&A) document addressing technical inquiries related to solicitation W912CH-24-R-0205 for a Support Kit, Auxilia (NSN: 2541-01-676-0627, P/N: 57K7284). The document provides clarifications on component availability, kit contents, technical drawings, sourcing requirements, and evaluation criteria for this small business set-aside solicitation issued by Army Contracting Command - Detroit (ACC-DTA).
The Q&A addresses five key technical and contractual questions. Question 1 clarifies the status of obsolete Aeroquip hose part numbers previously supplied by Danfoss, confirming availability of three components (12273529, 12287138, and 12273123) as of July 2025, while noting that hose assembly 12466927 could not be confirmed available and that hose drawings are not source-controlled. Question 2 confirms the complete kit contents for part number 57K7284, detailing all nine component line items including cable assemblies, guards, hose assemblies, brackets, fasteners, and an accessories box, and explains that the TDP includes two related connector repair kits (57K2935 and 5705498) for different M1-series tank variants referenced by wiring harnesses. Question 3 specifies that component 439-3940 is a Caterpillar commercial buy-part with no available drawing, and confirms all wiring harness lengths are 312 inches as specified on drawing page 2. Question 4 addresses part number 12674441 (GENERAL DYNAMICS-sourced guard), requiring complete proposal submission with all components but confirming the drawing is full and open for competitive bidding. Question 5 directs contractors to Sections L and M of the solicitation for details on SDVOSB evaluation advantages within the total small business set-aside framework.

Question on Technical Data Package for W912CH-24-R-0205 Question 1:
There are four (4) suggested sources of supply parts that list Aeroquip part numbers. They are obsolete and not carried by the new OEM, Danfoss. Does the customer have a source for these parts, or an equivalent that meets form, fit or function?
12273528 12466927 12273123-1 12287138-1 Answer:
On July 9, 2025, Danfoss was unable to confirm the availability of the 12466927 hoses. Please note that the hose drawing is not source controlled. The hose assembly components are available for purchase.
On July 7, 2025, an updated SPI was uploaded to 17 July 2025.
Components 12273529, 12287138, and 12273123 have been confirmed as available.
Question 2:
We noticed there are two kits included in the TDP, the KIT PN: 57K7284 that is on solicitation and an extra KIT PN 57K2935.
Can you confirm the kit list contents for the part number being solicited - 57K7284?

Answer:
Engineering Confirms that all components contained in the 57K7284 APU support kit packing list are contained in the TDP.
The TDP correctly contains both 57K2935 and 5705498. 57K2935 pertains to M1A2. 5705498 pertains to M1 and M1A1.
Both specs have been added to the package because they are referenced by wiring harnesses contained in the APU support kit. The two connector repair kits are for different types of electrical connectors and are simply supplemental information.
Question 3:
This part number drawing was missing from the packet. Can you please provide?
Also, all of the harness drawings have As Required for Cable lengths. Please confirm when those values will be available for use to quote. May need CAD data to determine length. Is this available?
Answer:
Component 439-3940 is a buy part (Commercial part) the tech data is owned by Caterpillar and a drawing is not available. The lengths of all wiring harnesses are present on page 2 of the drawings. The harnesses are all 312in long.
Question 4:
Part number 12674441, part of kit 57K7284, has GENERAL DYNAMICS as the listed source. Can we submit a bid without this single component, or can you provide a letter authorizing GENERAL DYNAMICS to quote this part?
Answer:
No, you need to submit a complete proposal. As to part 12674441, the drawing is full and open.
Question 5:
Does the solicitation include any specific clauses that may give an SDVOSB an advantage in the bidding process, even though it is a total small business set-aside?
Answer:
Please see section L and M for details on the evaluation and award process.
