About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act (SCA) issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division, effective August 27, 2026. The document establishes prevailing wage rates for service contract work in Puerto Rico, covering all counties listed including San Juan, Ponce, and other municipalities across the island.

The wage determination applies to 127 occupation classifications spanning administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information technology, instructional services, laundry and pressing, machine tool operations, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, transportation, and miscellaneous occupations. Hourly wage rates range from $9.46 (Furniture Handler) to $46.54 (Air Traffic Control Specialist, Center). All listed occupations receive fringe benefits of $5.92 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly, $236.80 weekly, or $1,026.13 monthly) or an alternative rate of $5.42 per hour for employees covered by Executive Order 13706. Additional benefits include three to four weeks paid vacation depending on tenure, twelve paid holidays annually, and applicable hazard pay differentials (4 percent to 8 percent) for ordnance and explosives work. Special provisions address computer professional exemptions, air traffic controller night and Sunday pay premiums, uniform allowances, and procedures for requesting additional occupation classifications via Standard Form 1444.
