About this file

This document contains answers to questions for a Fort Peck boundary fence construction project. Key technical details include specifications for fence post installation: 5" in-line posts must be a minimum of 10' long, t-posts can be driven, and wooden line posts may require hole digging or hydraulic driving depending on soil conditions. For gate bracing, a metal post (deadman) of minimum 3' is specified. The fence will be constructed exactly where the old fence is being removed, with no additional government staking. Additional technical specifications and details are referenced in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) Section 5 and Technical Exhibit 2, which are available in separate attachments or links.
