About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the United States Army Corps of Engineers Joint Recruiting Facilities Program Bullet-Resisting Panels, Solicitation Number W9128F25QA066. The Q&A addresses two specific inquiries from potential contractors regarding the bullet-resistant panel design. In the first question, a vendor asked about accommodating bullet-proof glass to the ceiling, to which the government responded "NO" due to current colored panel skin visual concerns. The second question concerned the possibility of incorporating electrical outlets within the panels, which the government clarified has no specific requirement.

Questions and Answers

Question 1: Would you prefer to have the design of these bullet proof walls to be able to eventually accommodate bullet proof glass to a height of your choosing perhaps even to the ceiling if necessary? I realize there is no mention of bullet proof glass in the SOW.

Government Answer 1: NO, currently have colored panels skins and any addition would cause visual concerns.

Question 2: Would it be preferred to have these bullet proof walls to accommodate electrical outlets on the interior for the user to access?

Government Answer 2: There is no requirement for the panels to accommodate electrical outlets.
