About this file

This document is a technical specification for an Insulated Translucent Fiberglass Panel system to be used in the construction of the ADAL South Gate ECF project at Minot AFB, North Dakota. The panel system must meet specific performance, structural, and sustainability requirements outlined in the specification. Key details include:

The panel system must be impact-resistant, thermally broken, and meet AAMA, ASTM, NFRC, and UL testing and certification standards for air/water infiltration, structural loading, fire performance, and thermal/condensation resistance. The panels are required to be translucent with specific minimum/maximum levels for light transmission, solar heat gain, and U-factor. The panel construction, components, and installation details are comprehensively specified. The contractor must provide shop drawings, product data, samples, and test reports for government approval prior to installation.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation (W9128F24R0029) by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to construct the ADAL South Entry Gate at Minot AFB, North Dakota, which includes the insulated translucent panel system as part of the overall project scope.
