About this file
This specification document outlines the requirements for a plumbing system to supply water to lamprey flumes at Bonneville Powerhouse I in Oregon. Key details include:
-
The project involves installing approximately 6 inches of PVC or HDPE piping along with associated valves, hangers, and accessories. Valves must include one knife gate valve, one butterfly valve, and one ball valve.
-
The specification provides requirements for materials, joining methods, supports, identification, and painting of the piping system. Approved materials include PVC, HDPE, and ductile iron. Joints can be threaded, flanged, grooved, or solvent-welded depending on the piping material.
-
Installation requirements cover topics such as hangers, supports, identification tags, and protective coatings. Piping must be suspended from the building structure with appropriate hangers spaced according to specifications. Identification tags are required on all valves except plumbing fixture supplies.
-
The related solicitation was issued by the Army Corps of Engineers on April 26, 2023 for the Bonneville Powerhouse I Fish Accords Lamprey project located in Bonneville, Oregon. The specification provides technical requirements for contractors to reference when developing proposals.
