Q1. Regarding the Airfield Asphalt item, which gradation are we supposed to figure?

A1. Gradation 2, UFGS Section 32 12 15.13 Aggregate Gradation.

Q2. The mix design for the Airfield Asphalt is dependent upon the expected tire pressures. Do you know if we are to figure a 75 blow mix design or a 50 blow mix design?

A2. 75 blow mix design.

Q3. Will a profilograph be required for the Airfield paving? If so, is there a CLIN for a profilograph?

A3. A profilograph will be required for runway pavement only. If required in the Task Order, cost can be accounted for under CLIN 0212 Non Priced.

Q4. What is the purpose of CLIN 0212 (Base Year) – Non Priced?

A4. The intent is to provide a method of pricing items not specifically identified as CLINs that may be required in the engineering specifications of a Task Order. In example, specialty drainage inlets, truncated domes, airport rated utility hatches, etc.

Leave this CLIN blank.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS UPDATE AS OF 28 FEBRUARY 2020

Q5. Page 82 of the IFB solicitation document, Instructions to Bidders #5, states that the bid submission should include the Attachment 1 – Bid Schedule. Since this is a hard copy submittal, does the Government want the Attachment 1 – Bid Schedule Excel sheet to be loaded onto a CD or other storage device and shipped along with the hard copy proposal submission? If not, how would the Government prefer to receive the Attachment 1 – Bid Schedule Excel sheet?

A5. Attachment 1 – Bid Schedule should be hard copy as well.

Q6. Page 82 of the IFB solicitation document, Instructions to Bidders #5 states that the Bid submission is one (1) copy. The SF1442 under number 13.A. lists that Sealed offers are in original and 1 copy. Can the Government confirm that only one, original version of the proposal is required?

A6. Only one copy of the original version of the proposal plus any amendments is required.

Q7. Page 69 of the IFB solicitation document under DAVIS BACON WAGE RATES states that General Decision Number AL20200007 with a revision date of 01/03/2020 has been incorporated. We could not locate that number in beta.sam.gov, but we did locate AL20200005 with a revision date of 01/03/2020. Can the Government confirm if AL20200005 is the correct Wage Determination?

A7. Davis Bacon Wage Rates has been updated to reflect “AL20200129”.

Q8. Will there be a bid bond form issued for the contractor to have with the offer? If not, where do I get the Standard Form??

A8. No bid bond form will be issued. Google it and it will come up through the GSA Forms Library (Form SF24).
