Industry Questions
W9124D25QA267 – 5BDE Northside High School L&DC
Q1: Is there any incumbent/recompete or is this a brand-new project? If yes, could you please provide us with their award number or even if the customer bought similar services in the past.
A1: This is a recompete requirement. The previous award is W9124D20P0153.
Q2: Are your utility jackets with liner waist-length or longer?
A2: The utility jackets are waist length.
Q3: We usually do not launder caps, coats, and trousers because of the material and risk of being damaged, unless the tag on the material indicates that it could be washed. Will this be okay with you?
A3: The label says use cold water detergent and wash and rinse in cold water using the permanent-press cycle, tumble dry on low.
Q4: Are the shirts to be laundered button-down, polo, or t-shirts?
A4: The ASU shirts are button-down.
Q5: Will clients come in for the alterations or will they be pinned and ready to go for us when we pick up the laundry?
A5: Alterations will be pinned and ready to be sewn.
Q6: How would you like your proposal submitted? PDF, Word, multiple documents or everything included in one large document?
A6: Proposals should be PDF and there can be multiple documents to prevent files from being too large.
Q7: Is the pricing you are requesting on the pricing sheet for the items to be laundered and dry cleaned the pricing for services provided for the entire 6 months or is it to be listed as the pricing for the biweekly service? For example, will we launder 400 trousers a week, biweekly, monthly or during the 6 month period?
A7: The quantities listed are the estimated quantities for the period of performance.
Therefore, the pricing for the base period is for six (6) months and the pricing for the options is for 12 months.
Q8: Will uniforms be altered once during the six-month period or will all be altered on a weekly basis?
A8: Uniforms will be altered as needed during the period of performance. The base period is six (6) months, and the options are 12 months.
Q9: Also, are the estimated quantities of items to be laundered and dry cleaned the total of a weekly, biweekly, monthly, or the entire 6-month periods? For example, will we be laundering 275 men's grey ASU S/S shirts weekly, biweekly, monthly, or for 6 months?
A9: The quantities listed represent the estimated quantities for the entire period of performance. The base period of performance is six (6) months, and the options are 12 months. Services will be requested as needed, a minimum of one (1) time per month but not to exceed three (3) times per month. Actual service quantities will vary monthly but shall not exceed the estimated quantities for the period of performance.
