About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal solicitation W9124C26QA022 addressing an ATC G8 Cubicle Office Upgrade project. The document clarifies requirements and scope for contractors bidding on the work to outfit 12 new cubicle workstations in Room 114 of the G8 Directorate.
The project requires delivery of 64 panels and 12 desk workstation surface attachments to create 10 cubicles measuring 8' x 10'6" with 85" high panel walls and 2 cubicles measuring 10'9" x 10'6" with 85" high panel walls. Existing overhead storage cabinets will be reinstalled on the wall panels as needed. The Government will not provide a Bill of Materials, original product list, or existing furniture plan; only a desk depicted in a drawing is available. Contractors are permitted to provide a complete design at no cost to the Government, including specifications for power whips, connectors (2-way, 3-way, and 4-way in various heights), reused glass sections (framed and frameless), hardware, and wall starters. The current cubicles were installed approximately 3–4 years ago. The contractor is responsible for running data lines from wall jacks to stations and determining whether power and data need to be pulled back to closets with new conduit installed after cubicles are erected. Electricians may visit the site at no cost to the Government to identify power and data locations if documentation cannot be provided. The original solicitation due date was extended from 09 September 2026 at 10:00 AM EST to 11 September 2026 at 10:00 AM EST to allow vendors time to obtain necessary information.

Questions and Answers
Question 1: Cubicle Purchase: Deliver 62 panels and 12 desk workstation attachments to complete 12 new cubicle workstations in the G8 Directorate (Room 114). Ten workstations will be 8’ x 10’6” with 85" high panel walls. Two workstations will be 10’9” x 10’6” with 85" high panel walls. Are you referring only to the panels that create the workstation walls, or does this also include the workstation itself with surface/desk? Will there be storage too?
Answer:
• The 64 panels (updated quantity) refer to the total number of panels required.
• The 12 desk workstations refer to the number of desk surface attachments needed.
• The 10 cubicle workstations refer to the number of cubicles built to the specified dimensions.
• Existing overhead storage cabinets will be reinstalled on the wall panels as needed.
Question 2: Can the due date be extended to obtain the proper information to answer all RFI questions (furniture, power, and data)? We cannot see the details of the drawing within the PWS.
Answer: Yes. The amendment extends the solicitation due date from 09 September 2026 at 10:00 AM EST to 11 September 2026 at 10:00 AM EST.
Question 3: Did a vendor/dealership develop this new plan? If so, do you have a clean copy with all furniture drawings and specs (panels and connectors)?
Answer: See the updated sample cubicle layout. This is the best available copy.
Question 4: Do you have a BOM (Bill of Materials), original order, or product list from the original furniture order? Or do you have a BOM or product list for the new furniture order?
Answer: No, a BOM is not available.
Question 5: When was this product installed?
Answer: Approximately 3–4 years ago.
Question 6: Is the conference room furniture the same product as the workstations/cubicles?
Answer: No. The conference room does not require any new furniture.
Question 7: Is there an existing furniture plan that you can share?
Answer: Only the desk depicted in the drawing is available.
Question 8: Is there an incumbent that installed the current cubicles?
Answer: I am not aware of who installed the current cubicles.
Question 9: Can we provide a complete design for you, as additional parts may be required that are not listed in the PWS?
Answer: Yes, you may provide a complete design at no cost to the Government. The space needs to be properly designed, and from that design a furniture plan can be developed. Additional considerations include: a. Power whips – may require different lengths if locations change. b. Connectors – current connectors include 2-way, 3-way, and 4-way in various heights (85"H and lower panels). c. Glass sections – both framed and frameless glass sections will be reused. d. Hardware – as required. e. Wall starters – yes, wall starters exist where panels connect directly to the wall.
Question 10: Can you identify all current locations of the furniture power and data?
Answer: These locations will change once the new 85" panels are installed.
Question 11: Is there an opportunity for our electricians to visit the site to identify the locations if they cannot be provided?
Answer: Yes, at no cost to the Government.
Question 12: Are power and data locations to remain in their current locations?
Answer: Yes, if possible.
Question 13: Will the electrician run data lines from the wall jack to the stations?
(Typically a Government responsibility.)
Answer: The contractor will be responsible.
Question 14: Will power/data be pulled back to the closets and new runs/conduit installed?
Answer: This will be determined by the contractor, if needed, once the cubicles are installed.
Question 15: Do you have a copy of the sign-in sheet from the walkthrough?
Answer: Yes, but it will not be provided at this time.
