PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The Contractor shall furnish and install one 10-foot by 32-foot field office trailer for Government use. The new trailer shall be connected to utilities as described in this section.

1.2 DEFINITIONS

1.2.1 New Government Field Office Trailer

The new Government field office trailer is the 10-foot by 32-foot trailer to be furnished and installed along the fence line as determined in the field by the Contractor.

1.3 SUBMITTALS

Government approval is required for submittals with a "G" designation;

submittals not having an "G" designation are for information only. When used, a designation following the "G" designation identifies the office that will review the submittal for the Government. The following shall be submitted in accordance with Section 01 33 00 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES:

SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals

New 10x32 Field Office Trailer Layout and Description; G, RE

A complete description of the new Government field office trailer, including floor plan, a description of the office equipment, temporary foundation details that does not damage existing Government site, and location of all temporary utilities shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer for approval not later than 30 days after the Contractor receives Notice to Proceed (NTP).

1.4 NEW 10x32 GOVERNMENT FIELD OFFICE TRAILER

The Contractor shall provide a Government Field Office Trailer for the exclusive use of Government inspectors and engineers. The field office shall consist of a NEW 10-foot x 32-foot trailer. A previously used or refurbished trailer will not be accepted. The field office shall be completed and ready for use within 90 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. The field office shall be separate from other offices used by the Contractor. The trailer and equipment herein specified shall remain the property of the Government at the completion of the contract.

The new Government field office trailer shall be provided with lockable windows with screens, adequate electric lights and outlets, and shall have a private entrance secured satisfactorily with lock and key. All locks including door locks on the trailer shall be master keyed. Five keys shall

SECTION 01 52 13.20 08 Page 2 be furnished to the Contracting Officer. Skirting, blocking, tie-downs and grounding of the trailer, fire exits, and other miscellaneous items required shall be provided with the trailer. The interior shall be heated, when necessary, to at least 65 degree F and comfortably air conditioned during warmer months to 72 degrees F. One floodlight shall be located at each end of the trailer.

1.4.1 New Government Trailer Equipment

The Contractor shall provide and install the following equipment for the field office:

(1) Heating and air conditioning units meeting the temperature control, as stated above.

(2) Two desks (30" x 60") and two swivel chairs. Built-in desks will not be acceptable.

(3) One work table (minimum 30" x 60")

(4) Two fully charged and operational fire extinguisher installed near the exits, 20 lbs., A-B-C rated.

(5) One sanitary electric water cooler with hot and cold supply (supply of water to be maintained by Contractor).

The final location of the above items within the Government trailer shall be determined by the Contracting Officer, upon review of the Contractor's submitted plan.

1.4.2 New 10x32 Government Field Office Trailer Utilities

The Contractor is responsible for the following utility work associated with the new Government field office trailer. The Contractor is responsible for all utility maintenance and repair associated with the new field office.

1.4.2.1 Telephone, Communications and Electric Service

The Contractor shall provide temporary telephone/communication and electrical services to the new Government field office trailer. The exact points of connection with the utility services shall be determined by the Contractor through coordination with the utility companies. Connections will be made by the utilities through coordination with the Contractor.

The Contractor shall coordinate all efforts to acquire electric power and telephone/communications service with the appropriate utility companies.

The telephone/communications service shall use the same Voice Over IP (VOIP) service as the Lockmaster's Office. The Government shall pay the monthly utility bill for the telephone service. The costs associated with the initial installation of the telephone services shall be borne by the Contractor. No phones are to be provided by the contractor. The Government shall pay for the monthly electric utility bill. The Contractor shall pay all costs associated with the installation of the electrical service.
