About this file
The document is a detailed assembly instruction manual for the GS 900 Ceiling Mount, providing step-by-step guidance for installing a medical or surgical lighting system. The instructions cover the complete assembly process, including unpacking three separate boxes containing ceiling mount swing/extension arms, a spacer tube, and the luminaire itself. The manual details critical installation steps such as mounting the spacer tube, connecting extension and spring arms, attaching the luminaire, and ensuring proper electrical connections, with specific guidance for both domestic and international wiring configurations.
The installation requires technical expertise, with the manual explicitly stating that the ceiling mount should only be installed by an electrical engineer, technician, or comparably qualified professional. Key technical steps include trimming the spacer tube to accommodate ceiling height (8-10 feet), drilling precise mounting holes, carefully connecting electrical components, and properly securing various mechanical elements like spring clips, washers, and retaining rings. The instructions also emphasize the importance of balancing the spring arm by attaching the luminaire and checking that the light functions correctly after installation.
