About this file

This document is a Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) Bulk Asbestos Analysis Report from Micro Analytical Services, Inc. for Cherokee Nation 35, LLC, analyzing samples from Building 45 at Fort Bliss, Texas. The report details asbestos testing of roof shingles and penetration materials using EPA-approved methods, with lab accreditation from NVLAP (National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program) and TDSHS (Texas Department of State Health Services).

The analysis examined six sample sets from different locations in Building 45, including black fibrous roof shingles and penetration materials with silver paint. Notably, none of the samples tested positive for asbestos. The roof shingle samples were composed of 20% fibrous glass, 40% aggregate, and 40% asphalt, while penetration materials consisted of 15% cellulose and 85% mastic. The report was prepared on April 18, 2025, with samples received on April 10, 2025, and will be retained for 30 days following analysis.
