Specifically of concern is containment of Hexavalent Chromium. Application of new non chromate primers and paint will also be conducted in booth.

1. What material or materials are being generated that you would like captured?

Answer: Particles of removed paints and primer resulting from sanding helicopter rotor blades and panels. Specifically need to capture Hexavalent Chromium particles. Additionally, airborne paint particles from spray applications of paint and primer.

1. Criteria states the booth needs to meet ACGIH standards for both paint fumes and for abrasive grit – will these be performed at the same time inside the booth?

Answer: Yes, potentially.

1. Are any of the materials being collected inside the booth considered combustible?

Answer: No

1. Will the booth design need to comply with NFPA 484?

1. Is the area where the booth will be located considered a classified hazardous duty location? i.e.: Class II/I Division II/I

Fire suppression can be worker activated, does not need to be automatic.

1. What is the max outside footprint the booth can be?

Answer: 20’ x 60’

1. What is the minimum inside working footprint that the booth should have?

Answer: 18’ x 45’ (10’ high)

1. Is there a max CFM?
