#1. Is there a need for any other shirts within the term “Set” as described in the solicitation? In Section 1.1.1 the term “Set” is described as Shirts, Smocks, Hats, & Pants), but the amendment takes out the short sleeve shirts. We wanted to see if that was an error and that long-sleeve shirts would be needed.

A. As of now, no short sleeve shirts are required, only the chef coats.

#2. There is no mention of Clothing for “New Hires” after the start of the contract. How were they to be handled since Section 1.3.2 calls for the employee’s names to be embroidered on particular pieces of items in each “Set”?

This means the new hire will not be able to use some of those items.

W911SD23R0080

A. COR will be informed of new employees at least 2 weeks before employees start date. Once COR is informed of new employee, COR will contact uniform company with name and sizes for new employees uniform so uniforms can be ready by employee start date.

#3. Section 8.1 references “Useful” life of the clothing items. The contractor is responsible for replacement of those items that have surpassed their useful life. Our question is who will be responsible for items that are lost or damaged carelessly or intentionally by the employee?

A. Employee will be responsible for lost or carelessly damaged uniforms while in their possession.

Contractor will be responsible for uniforms returned for cleaning. Contractor is responsible for replacing uniforms that have surpassed regular useful life.
