Subject: Industry Questions Regarding RFQ # W911RX-23-Q-0009, B5002

Dear Mr. Richie:

XXX is submitting this memorandum to seek clarifications on certain aspects of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) # W911RX-23-Q-0009. We aim to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the RFQ's requirements to prepare an accurate and competitive quote.

Question 01: Interface Relay Requirement

• Is there a requirement for an interface relay card in the UPS system for remote reporting capabilities?

This component would facilitate the integration and management of power sources.

Answer 01: No, there is no requirement for an interface relay card in the UPS system.

Question 02: Remote Reporting Capabilities

• Does the government desire a Network Card for remote reporting capabilities for the UPS system? This feature would enable monitoring of the system's operational status from the main post, eliminating the need for physical checks at the site.

• The proposed UPS System will be a model 9PXM and it can include as an option a “Connected External Battery Cabinet”. This version of the external battery cabinet will communicate with the main UPS Chassis and supply information on the display screen for the status of the battery modules. This version of the external battery cabinet will also require an additional 20A 120V circuit for Logic Power. The standard offering of the External Battery Cabinet will not have communication with the main chassis and would be similar to the existing UPS system.

Answer 02: No, there is no requirement for a network card.

Question 03: Power Capacity Enhancement Proposal

• We have assessed the current wall plug configuration and determined that the single 20A circuit provided may be inadequate for supporting all the government's equipment simultaneously. To address this, we propose a temporary solution: back feeding the UPS panel from the existing normal power branch panel located in the hut. Implementing this solution will necessitate a minimum two-hour outage, impacting all equipment in the space. This approach is designed to enhance power capacity and ensure stable operation of the government's equipment during our service period. Could you please advise if this proposed solution is acceptable?

Answer 03: If the contractor believes a temporary solution is required to back feed the UPS panel, please indicate that on the quote. We intend to use generator power to power facility equipment while the UPS devices are being replaced.

We appreciate your atenon to these quesons and look forward to your prompt response. Our aim is to ensure compliance with all requirements and to submit a comprehensive and compeve quote.

Please let me know if you have any quesons.
