WASHER AND DRYER SERVICES
QUESTIONS FROM INDUSTRY
As of: 26JAN18
Question 45. Thank you for responding to question 43 however, the question is relevant because the number of washers and dryers leased to Fort Riley by the present contractor is needed to compare with the present contractors awarded amount and number of repairs made during the present contract
You have provided the present contractors award amount $2,630,507.50 and you have provided a list of all repair the present contractor made during his term. This information (award amount and number of repairs) is only relevant if the bidding contractor knows how many washers and dryers were being leased for the award amount and for the number of repair orders.
You listed 580 repairs made by the present contractor during the tenure of the present contractor. This is an average of 145 per year or average of 12 repairs per month. I have had similar lease contracts with the number of washers and dryers being leased in the new contract and I can state that your number of repairs are very low unless the number of washers and dryers being repaired by the present contractor is much lower than the number of washers and dryers you are requiring in the new contract
Answer: The government will not release proprietary information. However, as the question above primarily focuses on the maintenance aspects, the number of machines required on the current contract is very similar to the quantities required for this IFB.
