About this file
This is a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Area of Interest solicitation from the Army Contracting Command-Red River Army Depot (ACC-RRAD) for the procurement of two micro trucks to support logistics and maintenance operations at Red River Army Depot. The CSO AoI Number is W911RQ-27-S-C001-A001, released on 5 October 2026, with authority derived from DoD Class Deviation 2022-O0007. The solicitation seeks innovative solutions, defined as new technology, processes, or methods as of the proposal submission date, or new applications of existing technology. Red River Army Depot's Equipment Division and Heavy Tactical Division currently experience logistical bottlenecks due to aging, inadequate, or oversized vehicles that cannot navigate specific facility areas, resulting in excessive manual labor and unnecessary wear on assets.
The Government requires a minimum of two Suzuki Carry DA16T micro trucks or equivalent vehicles with specific technical specifications including a 660cc liquid-cooled 3-cylinder gasoline engine, 5-speed manual or CVT transmission, 2WD standard or selectable 4WD, fully boxed steel ladder frame, minimum length of 130 inches, width of 56 inches, height between 65-78 inches, curb weight of 1,975 lbs or lower, and payload capacity of 775 lbs or greater. Additional requirements include a flat-deck cargo bed with fold-down sides (78" max x 55" max), AC/heater, 3-point seatbelts with airbags, cabover configuration with front wheels positioned below the operator seat, and expected service life of 150,000 to 250,000 miles. Color preference is orange with white as acceptable. Offerors must register in the System for Award Maintenance (sam.gov). Responses must be submitted via email to usarmy.rrad.acc.mbx.cso@army.mil by 4:00 P.M. CDT on 19 October 2026; late submissions will be discarded. The Government is not obligated to award and reserves the right to modify requirements. Points of contact include CSO AoI POC Jacob J. Horn, Contracting Officer Travis Peterson, and Contract Specialist Adam Ragland.

1. General Information
1.1 Introduction
This announcement is for innovative solutions for the Micro Trucks Area of Interest (AoI) under the ACC-RRAD Commercial Solutions Opening W911RQ-27-S-C001.
Interested parties are highly encouraged to visit the Government Point of Entry (www.sam.gov) to review the ACC-RRAD CSO special posting in its entirety to obtain more information on the process for submission evaluation of the CSO AoI Responses.
This CSO AoI seeks to solicit innovative solutions that meet the objectives detailed in Sections 1.2 and 1.3. The term innovative is defined as any technology, process, or method, including research and development that is new as of the date of proposal submission; or any new application of an existing technology, process or method as of the proposal date.
ACC-RRAD is not obligated to extend a request for proposal or make an award as a result of this CSO AoI; all awards are subject to the availability of funds and successful negotiations. This CSO AoI is not an authorization to begin performance, and in no way obligates the Government for any costs incurred by the Offeror associated with developing a Response. 1.2 AoI Background
The RRAD Equipment Division and Heavy Tactical Division currently require reliable, highly maneuverable utility vehicles to support daily logistics and maintenance operations;
however, existing transport capabilities are either aging, inadequate, or failing to meet the specific demands of the facility. The lack of appropriately sized utility transport has hindered the consistent movement of personnel and necessary materials. As a direct consequence, we experience frequent logistical bottlenecks that necessitate manual transport of equipment or the use of oversized, inefficient vehicles. This not only leads to significant operational inefficiencies but also results in excessive labor time and unnecessary wear on inappropriate assets, which impacts our overall productivity and increases operational costs. Addressing these localized transportation challenges is critical to enhancing our logistical capabilities and ensuring the effective utilization of personnel and resources across both divisions.
1.3 Micro Truck Capabilities
RRAD is interested in a commercial solution offering “CSO” for the procurement of Micro Trucks that will improve upon current localized transport and logistics processes. Current facility transport operations are hindered by aging, inadequate, or oversized vehicles that struggle to navigate specific areas, resulting in logistical bottlenecks, excessive manual labor, and unnecessary wear on inappropriate assets. RRAD is looking to improve/integrate this process to enhance our safety, capabilities, and capacity to reduce maintenance and operating costs involved with the current material routing process.
We are looking for highly maneuverable utility capabilities that convert inefficient manual transport processes into streamlined enclosed vehicle operations capable of handling heavy payloads in tight industrial environments.
At a minimum, RRAD is requesting two (2) Micro Trucks (Suzuki Carry DA16T or Equal) to complete the required transport operations for the Equipment Division and Heavy Tactical Division as described:
Powertrain Engine – Liquid cooled 660CC, 3 cylinder, DOHC, EFI gasoline that meets global small-displacement automotive standards.
Color Orange preferred (white acceptable)
Transmission & Driveline Transmission – 5 Speed manual or CVT transmission Drive – 2wd (standard) or selectable 4WD Differential Lock – Desired not required
Chassis & Suspension Frame – fully boxed steel ladder frame Corrosion Protection – multi-stage anti-corrosion coatings Suspension – front independent strut, rear leaf spring/solid axle or if rear mounted engine independent shocks and coil springs Brakes – front solid discs with rear drums or if rear mounted engine solid discs Steering – rack and pinion with power steering desired not required
Dimensions & Capacities Length – 130” min Width – 56” min Height – 65” min and 78” max Wheelbase – 73” min and 75” max Ground Clearance – 6” to 8” Curb Weight – 1975lbs or lower Payload – 775lbs or greater Fuel tank – 8 gal or greater
Cargo Bed Construction – high-strength steel Design – flat deck with fold down sides Dimensions – 78” max x 55” max
Electrical & Lighting System – 12V standard ISO/JIS automotive grade Wiring – sealed, weather resistant harness and couplers Lighting – halogen or LED headlights with full signal and brake lighting (amber or red) Instrumentation – analog or digital cluster
Cab & Interior Seating – two seating cab over configuration General Configuration – cabover only with front wheels positioned below operator seat (not below or adjacent to operator pedals) HVAC – AC and heater required
Safety & Compliance Standard – ISO automotive manufacturing requirements Features – 3-point seatbelts, reinforced cab, laminated windshield, side impact beams with drivers and passengers side airbags
Serviceability & Supportability Parts Support – extensive global supply network or parts providers Maintenance – easy access to service points Expected Service Life – 150,000 to 250,000 miles with routine maintenance
