REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION
Question: How do I submit my quote?
ANSWER: Please email your quote to usarmy.watervliet.tacom.mbx.contractoffers@mail.mil or FBO
Question: How much does the Bid Bond have to be for?
ANSWER: 20% or $3,000,000, per FAR Clause 52.228-1
Question: Existing Conditions 1.03 B, 1-parallel feeder. I’m assuming they mean 1-3C feeder. It’s confusing when they mention “parallel”. Please confirm
ANSWER: Parallel feeder: All underground cable runs consist of 2x cables per phase in parallel (i.e. 2x circuits).
Each circuit shall be run in a separate conduit. This is for redundancy in the event of an underground cable failure.
Question: Is there a hazardous material and/or asbestos survey with the existing material to be worked on / demolished with this project? Referencing SOW para 1.07.B.
ANSWER: Asbestos is not expected. Form is required to put on record that the question was asked. There may be oil insulated (PCB) cable discovered which shall be treated as hazmat & disposed of through WVA Environmental office. Contractor shall keep this in mind & proceed with caution. Per SOW, contractor is required to get written confirmation of ANY hazmat on record within the scope area prior to commencing work. This can be accomplished through RFI or at the PRE-CON meeting.
Question: Amendment 1 provides the quantities for estimating purposes it indicates a quantity of 30 - "Splices". Are these straight splices or 3-way?
ANSWER: That number is an estimate for 1-phase splices; Qty 30 = (5 cable runs x 3-ph x 2 ckts)
Question: In the SOW for the above referenced project section 1.13 Project Specifications A. 1-10 indicates that there are several specification sections attached to the SOW. I am unable to locate those specs in the SOW. Can you provide assistance? Please see below.
1.13 Project Specifications.
A. The Contractor shall complete the Items of Work in accordance with the following associated Project Specification(s), attached to this SOW.
1. 26 05 05 - General Provisions for Electrical Systems
